HOW IT WORKS
Organic skincare products have a huge demand in today's health conscious society, particularly among the young.
Our project adopted the idea of chemical-free skincare products and started making products using packaging that is recyclable and environment friendly.
We, at Project Roohaniyat, believe in the transformative power of economic empowerment, and that is why we share a portion of our profits, directly with the transgender artisans. We firmly believe in providing them with a platform to thrive, to celebrate their unique identities, and to showcase their remarkable abilities to attain the distant dream of the 5th SDG - Gender Equality.

PROJECT JOURNEY SO FAR
This project started as an idea in December 2022 and currently, we are selling soaps with organic neem and tulsi extracts. We have employed innovative techniques in soap production, using organic ingredients sourced from local communities. By integrating sustainable practices and modern marketing strategies, we have established a strong foothold in the market. By establishing partnerships with local NGOs, we dedicate 30% of each soap sale to support programs that uplift marginalized communities. Furthermore, the profits generated from the project are reinvested into Enactus BRAC to sustain and expand the project, improving production facilities, and providing ongoing support to the LGBTQIA+ community. Through sustainable practices, we aim to create a lasting impact and inspire others to follow suit.
BUSINESS MODEL
Our B2C business model is a beacon of innovation, sustainability, and social impact. We use techniques and organic ingredients to create exceptional soaps that pamper and nourish the skin while also protecting the environment. We also leverage modern marketing strategies to connect with a conscientious consumer base. We recognize the importance of community upliftment and economic empowerment, and use fair trade practices to ensure fair compensation and improved socio-economic conditions. Through continuous innovation, we strive to reduce waste, conserve resources, and inspire others to adopt more sustainable practices. Together, we can make a difference.
COLLABORATIONS
We are in a mutually beneficial collaboration with Mitr Trust as of 2023 and are further looking to expand our horizons to other NGOs led by the transgender community.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Achieving 2nd place in the E-cell Bizzplan competition is a testament to the entrepreneur's ability to articulate a compelling vision, devise a robust strategy, and present a strong case for their business idea. Success in the competition is just the beginning of a journey filled with challenges and opportunities.
